ATLANTIS: The Lost Island
A Focus Project Study of Science and Technology Atlantis places terrestrial plant life in a submerged terrarium for a week's duration. The habitat provides conditions that allow the plant to survive and grow, perhaps even thrive. Similarities to the U.S. Navy's Sealab II Project, operated off the coast of La Jolla, CA, Jacques Cousteau's Conshelf habitat, and NASA's planned space colonies will be drawn.
